Anti-Wrinkle and Eye Bag Mask
Since ancient times, women have known that potato starch is great at reducing swelling and helping fight wrinkles. Also, because of the substances this plant contains, the tissue has a slight lightening effect, so it is also an excellent tool for fighting age spots. To do this, rub the vegetables on a fine grater and add some fatty ingredients in a 1: 1 ratio - natural vegetable oils, such as almonds or squash, and high-fat sour cream or soft butter are all suitable for this purpose. The composition is applied to the face in a fairly thick layer and left on for about 20 minutes, then washed off with lukewarm water.
If the skin is not too dry, you can do a fruit mask. For example, apricots and their fruit acids are excellent at fighting wrinkles. For application, take the pulp of a ripe fruit (one time is enough for half a medium fruit) and mash it with a blender. Then, to the resulting slurry, you can add any fermented dairy product - fermented baking milk, kefir, sour cream, yogurt or acidophilus, a tablespoon. Mix the ingredients well and apply the composition around the eyes for an average of 15-25 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Gelatin masks are recognized as another effective way to fight wrinkles. In fact, gelatin contains a lot of animal protein, as well as natural collagen, which is responsible for tightening the skin. How to make it at home:
- Take a teaspoon of powdered gelatin and pour in 6 tablespoons of good quality mineral water. Let the mixture rise for a quarter of an hour and place in the refrigerator.
- Then heat in a water bath or microwave until the mixture is completely dissolved.
- When the mixture has cooled slightly, add 2-3 teaspoons whole milk and 1/2 teaspoon sea buckthorn oil.
- Apply the product in a thin layer around the eyes, preferably with a makeup brush.
- Leave the ingredients on the skin for 10-20 minutes, but rinse with water as soon as the firming effect is too noticeable.
- If the gelatin doesn't wash off immediately, don't ever tear it off, just soak the towel in warm water and after a few minutes the substance will turn liquid again and succumb to washing.
Another face mask at home that targets wrinkles around the eyes is to use oatmeal. In addition to that, it has a tonic effect that not only smoothes wrinkles but also refreshes the look. To do this, take a tablespoon of oatmeal and grind it finely in a coffee grinder, but not to a floury state. After that, pour the ingredients into warm water or milk to make a slurry, but not too liquid, you can also use a few drops of natural oil for better results. Apply the resulting composition to the area around the eyes for 10-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water, avoiding contact with mucous membranes.
How to properly apply a mask
Tissues should be examined for possible allergic reactions by applying a small amount of the prepared mixture to the crook of the elbow and leaving the area on for at least 10-15 minutes before applying a new ingredient. If there is no redness or itching, you can apply the product to your face.
When choosing a formula, it is advisable to determine your skin type: those who are too oily are better off avoiding masks that contain too much natural oils, and for those who are dry, you should not use ingredients that are too drying and firming, such as gelatin.
Before applying the product to your face, you should clean your face of makeup and any impurities. The products you use regularly apply here: cleansers or serums, milk, liquid soaps, tar soaps and other products.
Most masks have a cumulative effect, which means it should be used regularly. Make sure to do this procedure at least a few times a week, sometimes you can do it more often.
Of course, it is unacceptable for the product to get on the mucous membranes of the eye itself when using such remedies around the eyes, so don't apply it too close to the organ of vision.
Do not perform this procedure immediately before going to bed and after waking up. It's best to wait at least an hour before/after.
After the prescribed exposure time, wash off very carefully without stretching the delicate skin or it will definitely not be effective.
After removing your makeup, use your favorite skin care product: a moisturizer or serum, or simply rub your face with cucumber pulp or ice cubes with chamomile or green tea - this tool helps close pores and shrink them.
